This shirt has been one of the most coveted in the entire Austrian economics milieu. It features a silhouette of Mises (in the style made famous by the New Left) with words he chose as his lifetime motto, as adopted from Virgil: Tu Ne Cede Malis, or "Do Not Give in to Evil."
This shirt, made of 100% cotton, was previously only available to Mises University students, but is now available for everyone.
All shirts are 100% cotton pre-shrunk. Chest sizes are:
I'd love to buy a Mises t-shirt, but for goodness sakes why does it have to be in artery-blood red? And why "Tu Ne Cede Malis"? That's applicable to anything. Why not "Socialism is Death"? and why not in a different color? The Hayek shirt got a make over. (Before Hayek looked like an old shriveled bird.) I think it is time the Mises shirt got a make over too.
Red is a little too loud for my liking. Can't we have this t-shirt in different colours? PLEASE!!!
Don’t get me wrong, I love this shirt. I feel pride when I wear it. I designed a few t-shirts and I learned that you want your work to be instantly recognizable so when people see it they know what it is without any inquiry. This shirt does the opposite, and that’s why I love it. I have had many conversations initiated because of how the color contrast sparks curiosity in others. The black on red makes it harder to see and people are drawn in to ask questions.
I have one complaint. On my shirt the graphic is not centered and is slightly crooked. If it wasn’t for that I’d give this shirt a five, so instead I’m giving it a four because I’m not a terribly anal person and you have to look hard to notice the layout.
The Hayek shirt also draws people in for discussions.
From all colors you could choose you have chosen... RED?!?
I hate red.
I use it for discussion starters. I am proud to wear it anywhere. The world needs to learn from Mises and the other great economists. America needs it more than ever. I am doing everything I can to help open peoples eyes to the real economic realities of government policy and involvement. I wish I could have met you Mr. Mises.
